Main Ixtapa Beach :: Playa El Palmar Ixtapa It is a pretty beach and the closet to our villita. Once you get off the Sharky boat, walk behind the marina shops and you will see an entrance to the beach on the right. Enter the cement wall path that is painted green. Be careful swimming because the currents can sometimes be strong. I have found that the left side of the beach typically has less currents and lower waves. It is recommended to only swim in the roped off areas.
